After walking all day, I found this accommodation a huge disappointment and completely unsuitable for a tired traveler. It seems designed for casual tourists, not pilgrims. It’s ridiculous that it appears on Albergue recommendation lists and offers “Sello” stamps when there are no facilities for pilgrims: no communal kitchen or on-site laundry. You have to walk to a shop in town and pay €5 just to use a washing machine, with the dryer costing extra. It offers none of the support a real pilgrim needs. The reception was empty, and you can only contact them through WhatsApp. That’s incredibly frustrating when you arrive exhausted and need immediate help. I paid €50, a premium price on the Camino, expecting a private bathroom as shown on the website, but got a room with a shared bathroom instead. The room itself was poor, just two single beds and a desk, with curtains literally peeling off the wall and held up by loose tape. I feel deceived by the fancy online presentation. This is a prime example of pure commercialism exploiting the Camino. I’m writing while exhausted because I want to warn others: despite the “Albergue” labels, this place has no heart for pilgrims.

The staff were nice and the location was good, and the rooms were fairly nice and clean. But there’s no AC, and the heat inside made it impossible for us to sleep. It cooled down outdoors at night, but the building stayed like a sauna. The fan was very noisy and barely helped. We had a sleepless night because of the heat.

I’d recommend Posada Ignatius to other peregrinos. I stayed one night while walking the Camino de Santiago in Sepetember 2025, and enjoyed the place despite a couple of small snags. I arrived from Logrono a little early, at 1100 hours, and couldn’t check in until I’d waited and completed the online check process. The room was basic but quite nice. The next morning, the restaurant didn’t open until after 0815 hours, so I couldn’t have breakfast because I needed to leave by 0745 hours. The building was old and converted to a Pension, and really nice. For your information, my Camino travel partners were https://www.magichillholidays.com located in Ireland.

The dining experience was unforgettable, and the rooms had been beautifully renovated with careful attention to detail. I had a delightful stay at this hotel, where the history and modern comfort came together. I highly recommend it for a getaway.

The restaurant was a highlight, with five-star food and service. Its dining room is in the “basement,” though it feels more like a cozy wine cellar. This beautifully restored hotel is like staying in a museum, with gorgeous common areas and quiet, very clean rooms. I can’t recommend it enough.
