The lobby is the one area that really looks lovely, with beautiful decor. The room seemed clean at first, but things didn’t work well: the sink stayed clogged throughout our visit, and it felt like the lobby had received most of the attention. Check-in shuts at 11pm, which was really inconvenient. Breakfast wasn’t great, either. Staff service was underwhelming and not very understanding, though the receptionist who checked me in was nice.

You can’t beat the location or the value for the price. I’d definitely recommend it.

8/10
The reception is beautifully done and looks much more upscale than I’d expect from a three-star hotel. I had a single room, where the bed got in the way and made it awkward to move my things around, though there was enough closet space for a short weekend and the bathroom was a good size. It was quiet at night, with no party crowds, and I felt safe. The location worked really well: seven minutes on foot to shops and restaurants, a bus stop one minute away, a large supermarket two minutes away, ten minutes to the bus stop for the Alhambra, and fifteen minutes to Albayzin. I’d feel comfortable recommending it to solo travelers looking for a budget stay that still has standards.

I was here for four nights. The hotel was really nice, with a good breakfast and room service. Reception was open around the clock, and the staff spoke English.

Hotel Dauro has a stylish, modern feel, and both the room and shared areas were immaculate. I also liked the breakfast, which had a good range of options and consistently good food. Its location made it easy to reach Granada’s old town and explore the historic sights and lively streets on foot. I did have trouble finding free parking nearby, which was frustrating, and the air conditioning in my room didn’t work properly, making the stay less comfortable.
