The receptionist gave me such a warm welcome. I was travelling alone and asked about a single room; when I said I was on a motorbike, she offered a secure place to park it and a triple room with a terrace where I could keep an eye on the bike. I slept like a baby for two nights in the double bed, though I borrowed a pillow from one of the single beds. The shower was very good, everything was clean, and the price was very affordable. I’d stay again if I visit SJ.

I had a very pleasant, quiet night, even with my window facing the main square. The room was a good size, with a massive fitted wardrobe and a roomy bathroom. Check-in and check-out were super quick, and the staff were approachable. I can recommend this place.

I wasn’t expecting much given the price and the advertisement, so that’s not my complaint. We stayed two nights, and the morning front desk lady was very rude. I asked for a ten-minute delay at checkout so my two boys could use the bathroom, but she wouldn’t allow it. That’s not acceptable in a tourist place. We also had three power outages in one night. I hope I don’t have to stay at this hostal again.

For the price, it felt like a four-star experience, and the location is excellent. The square can be noisy at night until around midnight, but that’s no issue if you’re used to Spanish time.

Great location and good quality for what it costs. The odd thing was seeing the receptionist handle online bookings with a pen and notebook, as she didn’t seem fully up to speed with the technology.
