La Posada De Carmen

We found parking just as described, only 20 metres from the apartment, after driving from Malaga airport to Nijar. One quick call to the owner and Cristina warmly met us at the door. Her English is good, and she shared useful local tips. She was especially proud of the quality of the new mattress and bedding. The traditional ground-floor apartment was clean, spacious, and more than enough for two. It has a kitchen, a lounge, and a large sunny roof terrace where you can sit quietly in the sun. Nijar is a small, pretty, very typical Spanish town, with a quaint square and church, a few smart shops and cafes on the Main Street, and friendly bars, restaurants, and shops a short walk away. Pata Negra, named after the succulent local ham, is just two minutes away on foot. It serves hearty rustic food at very reasonable prices, with friendly service. For breakfast, Lorca 41, a smart family-run cafe, was a tasty start to the day. The varied, colourful coast is a half-hour drive away. If you want quiet, clean, comfortable, reasonably priced accommodation, La Posada de Carmen should suit you perfectly.
