The building and rooms are clean and spacious, and there's a great outdoor seating area. It's family-owned, opened three years ago, and the whole house that used to be ‘Abuela’s’ has been remodeled. The location works well if you're walking El Camino de Santiago de Compostela. Service was the problem for us. We had booked dinner for 14 people at 7:30 p.m. in advance. Four of us arrived 16 minutes late, and the young woman handling reception, hosting, and serving got so upset that it felt like we might be thrown out. She could use some customer service training. If you skip dinner or arrive on time, you should be fine. Otherwise, be prepared for very rude treatment.

I rarely feel this calm and at ease in a hotel. The place was quiet, natural, and beautiful, almost like a sanctuary from the moment I walked in. You can feel the care and dedication in every corner.

They went out of their way to find us a Sunday spot so we could have dinner there. The menu is short, but the food was good. Our room was unusual but nice, and the shower was great. We were in room 4 beside the kitchen, and noise was the big drawback. We could hear people talking, stairs, breakfast dishes, and music from outside. The blackout wasn't very good either. I imagine other rooms may be quieter, but we didn't sleep well, so I can't give it five stars. In a different room, I think the stay could have been five-star.

My wife said this was the nicest place she stayed on the trail, even after I'd booked her some pricey places. I arranged a bottle of wine and a glass for her by text so she could enjoy them while soaking in the huge bathtub. The host was amazing. Had I reached out sooner, they could have arranged roses and petals for the bed and tub, or even gotten her a teddy bear. I'll always recommend this place.

The hosts were excellent, the food was awesome, and we got one of our best night's sleep on the Camino. It was a lovely way to spend the last days, with only a short walk to the local town.
