The location is lovely and very secluded, but getting to the nearest grocery store takes 30 minutes. That’s worth knowing. The place could be worth 4-5 stars if the owner handled the basics of hospitality and guest service. We were 10 people, though the listing said it could host more. There were only nine beds, apparently assuming two of us would share the double bed, plus two very uncomfortable folding beds. One was broken, with a huge gap. We had to put the sheets on the beds ourselves, and there weren’t enough toilet rolls for 10 people for one night. The house had no cleaning supplies, and the pool still had leaves and other natural debris when we arrived. We were also charged an extra 35 euros for bringing a dog and another fee to use the outdoor area and grill. Why rent the property if you can’t use the outside space?

The surroundings were beautiful, and we still had a pleasant stay. But there were 15 of us, which was supposedly within the accommodation’s capacity, and it didn’t feel suited to that many guests. It only had three rather small bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower. The kitchen, especially the oven, was dirty. Some bathroom tiles were broken, and one person hurt themselves on them. With those issues and all the house rules, we didn’t feel we got good value for money.

There was a huge number of flies in one room, which made us doubt how clean the place was. The shower was also inside a shared room with bunk beds, so there was very little privacy. The house was dirty and overpriced, and a lot of things were broken or didn’t work properly. That included the heating and the toilet, as well as broken beds and faulty appliances. The owners seemed careless, and what should have been a normal stay turned into total chaos.

The management was awful. The woman took a long time to reply and didn’t properly answer my questions. She asked for personal details about me and the people coming with me, but wouldn’t give me her own details. Read the policies she sends very carefully, because I felt they were later used to confuse me. She says the deposit will be returned between 1 and 10 days, then waits until the final day. In my case, the house had been checked a week earlier and was fine, but I still didn’t get the deposit back until the last minute, after repeatedly chasing her. The house itself was dirty throughout, with dead flies on the furniture and tables and dirty kitchen utensils. The photos didn’t quite match the actual house, and the very high nightly price didn’t reflect what we found. If you rent it, be ready for poor management, customer service that needs work, and policies and procedures being handled however she sees fit.

The power went out for 7-8 hours during a huge snowstorm. Four families with children aged 2 to 5 were left in the dark without heat, with the temperature outside at -7 degrees Celsius. We couldn’t get out in our cars, so we had no choice but to sit there freezing. The house clearly wasn’t equipped for the conditions where it’s located. The hosts said it wasn’t their fault and there was nothing they could do, then left us stranded without even a candle. It felt like a horror movie. We’d paid €1000 for the weekend, and it became a nightmare. The house was neglected and filthy, with greasy counters, sticky tables, and furniture falling apart. We’d seen reviews on other sites and brought our own sheets, towels, and cleaning supplies, but even then we weren’t ready for what happened. We’d been misled by the Airbnb ratings and hadn’t read the other travelers’ reviews. By the time we realized, we’d already paid and couldn’t get a refund. We spent a fortune to be cold and in the dark in a house that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since the 13th century. I’d only suggest staying here if you’re up for taking a risk and don’t mind not knowing what you’ll get. Be prepared! LOL
