We didn’t stay overnight, so I can’t comment on the rooms. We walked one of the more challenging routes and enjoyed the beautiful views. Afterwards we stopped for drinks at Refugis De Juanar, where the staff were friendly and helpful, service was good and prices reasonable for such a remote spot. It’s a relaxing place away from traffic, up a long, winding but well-maintained road. We’d definitely visit again.

The team is very kind, and the hotel is in a gorgeous spot for hiking, right where 12 hiking paths cross. The old mountain building can be cold, so bring proper warm layers. A must-see, and I’ll surely come back.

After the tough hike up Picos de la Concha, we had a few cold drinks in the restaurant garden. The staff were very friendly, and the garden seating was peaceful. We really enjoyed it.

I loved being up in these mountains. The trails offer gentle, beautiful walks on safe paths, or a more challenging climb to the top of the rock. Learning the history and secrets held by the mountains adds so much to the adventures. A fabulous hideaway.

We were out walking nearby and stopped at the hotel for a drink. They made us feel very welcome, and it’s an extremely cosy place in a magical setting.
