Avoid this place. The pool was nice, the outdoor area was large, and pets are allowed, but the rest of our ten-day stay was deeply disappointing and didn’t match the listing or the price. The house shown in the photos isn’t the main residence. The rental is an outbuilding, reached by a small side entrance that doesn’t lead to the garden. The apartment was dark, damp and poorly maintained. Everything felt dilapidated, with the age of the house offered as an excuse. The bedrooms had no decor, the beds were awful, and there was hardly any storage. Outside, the lights were broken, the ping-pong table and swing couldn’t be used, and the BBQ in the private area was rusty and dirty. We also saw two rats running near the pool, two days apart. The hosts’ welcome and communication were a major letdown. They didn’t answer our questions before we arrived, and we felt we were intruding rather than staying in a private space. They didn’t even say hello when passing us. One evening we were having a quiet dinner with some music on when they arrived and aggressively demanded that we turn it off. The whole experience left a bitter taste. You can find much better elsewhere, with hosts who are happy to welcome you.
