The dining room was attractive, and the service was friendly. We came for Saturday lunch in August and were glad we'd booked, since the place was full. The 23€ menú de degustación was good value: three large starters, a main, dessert, and a drink. Come hungry.

Free parking around the place, lovely natural surroundings, and it's pet-friendly. The small village is charming, and the guided tour of the impressive, though small, old medieval jail in the same building and the old medieval bakery is well worth doing. The clock on the town hall facade can disturb your rest with its sort of bells.

The delicious dinner was traditional and made with quality ingredients. We enjoyed it so much that we were too full for the cheese tart, so we had that at breakfast instead. My partner and I stayed one night in a spacious, comfortable room with an ensuite bathroom. It was well-heated and well-insulated. Renovations were going on during our visit, but the noise was muffled well and the place stayed remarkably clean, which must have been difficult.

We'd only stopped for a sandwich while cycling, but seeing the dishes coming out made us order the quail with fried egg and the oxtail. What a feast, and it kept us going for the rest of the ride. Excellent service and good value for money. Highly recommended.
