Casa Rural San Millán

Our daughter loved looking out at the sheepfold, and we all felt comfortable during our few days here. The room was spotless, with a spacious private bathroom and nice little extras like bath sponges and coffee capsules. There was heating, though we didn't need it. We especially appreciated how welcoming the owner was. The restaurant offers a good-value set menu as well as à la carte, with indoor seating and outdoor tables overlooking the beautiful village of Oncala. They also sell local products. We really enjoyed the area and would recommend staying here.

We booked because the village is near where they film the series, and the surroundings are lovely. The house itself is fine, and the owner is really kind. But it was around -5 or -6 outside, and the heating stayed off all night. We were freezing and had a terrible night, sleeping in our coats. They really needed thicker blankets. At least the 1L of water we brought stayed very, very cold all night 😅

My daughter Chris still misses Damian, which says a lot about how warmly he treated us from the moment we arrived. We spent the weekend there and it was a fantastic choice. People say they'll come back all the time, but we really will.

A great base for exploring the highlands of Soria. The country house is peaceful, in perfect condition, and the heating works perfectly. The owner is friendly, and everything went wonderfully, from arranging the keys when they weren't available to the cleaning.
