Hotel La Parada

We found the facility nice, but the parking lot is why this was such a disappointing stay. We were travelling with our 26ft caravan/Travel trailer and parked in the section for Large Commercial trucks. In the morning, we discovered that someone had deliberately smashed the windows and clawed the entire side of the trailer with a claw hammer. The front desk told us they weren't responsible for the parking lot. We then contacted local police, who also dismissed our complaint, saying they had no jurisdiction over it.

We were told we couldn't have a meal brought to our room and could only get a roll. It was too hot to eat outside, so we settled for the roll, and I still don't understand why a meal couldn't be sent up. We also arrived with our small dog and were told Spanish law wouldn't allow the dog in the bar area. That seemed like rubbish to us, since a hotel near Madrid had let us eat in its bar with our dog on our last stay. Very, very disappointing. Avoid this hotel if you're travelling with a dog.

Everything was spotless and neatly kept.

The rooms were clean, and the service was adequate. The restaurant is basic, though the food was edible. Seems like a place for a stopover.
