What a find. This is a relaxed rural place with great views, lovely walks, and well appointed rooms. The access road is very narrow, though there’s plenty of parking. They have emus, and there’s an easy back road to San Sebastian.

The terrace is a lovely place to sit under the stars and take in the sea, and the fireplace must be wonderful in winter. We were 12 people, and the spacious living room, kitchen, and bedrooms gave us plenty of room. The house sits beautifully between the mountains and the sea, with amenities that work well for a longer stay in any season. Joxe was an excellent host. We’d happily come back.

We rented the whole gîte for our large group and had a lovely stay. The terrace is huge, with a superb view, and the rooms are well equipped. It’s somewhat isolated up in the mountains, but the scenery makes up for that. The beach and town are about 30 minutes away.
