R2 Higos Beach Apartments

We had a lovely stay and really liked the apartment. It’s incredibly quiet, which is great for a peaceful break, though it may not suit everyone, especially people with kids. The kitchen was the main thing I’d improve. There’s no oven, and the hob takes veeeeery slowly to heat up, so you’re relying on that and the microwave. More appliances, maybe an air fryer, would’ve helped. Costa Calma wasn’t my favourite area. It was windier than other places we visited, and the beaches further south were nicer. Costa Calma beach didn’t impress me as much as Sotavento, Esmeralda or Morro Jable. Still, I can’t fault the hotel itself.

Breakfast was a highlight, with lots to choose from and great service each morning. The whole place was spotless and well cared for, and it felt calm and relaxing. The staff were welcoming, friendly and always ready to help. We had a fantastic stay at R2 Higos Beach Aparthotel in Costa Calma, Fuerteventura. Everything exceeded my expectations, and I’d happily return. Definitely 5 stars from me, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Fuerteventura.

Loved our recent stay. There were no crowds or fights over pool space, and no noisy groups of teens or kids. Everything was spotless, and the breakfast buffet had loads of choice. For such a reasonable price, the hotel felt much more luxurious than I expected. I’d only suggest putting washing-up liquid in the rooms so guests can clean up more thoroughly 😊

A big thank you to Anna, who helped us through a medical emergency. She was an absolute star 🌟 All the staff were helpful and really friendly. We spent a week here and the hotel exceeded our expectations. The location was good, and the room was great apart from being a corner end room with a smaller balcony than the others. I’m sure we’ll be back. Thanks to everyone on the team.
