XQ El Palacete

The hotel is right on the beach, and being small made dinner manageable, especially with two sittings. The food was varied and very good, and staff were friendly and helpful. Our main problem was water leaking from the shower into the bathroom, toilet, and bedroom areas. We reported it to management four times, but the only response was more towels to soak it up. We got the clear impression they already knew this was an ongoing issue. We’d booked to return in January 2024, but cancelled because we didn’t feel valued as customers.

The hotel has a prime spot overlooking the beach at Morro Jable. We’re staying for three weeks, and the room is clean and spacious. The food is good, and the staff are excellent. Esther, Sara, and Claudia are just a few of the hardworking people who make the hotel what it is. It’s getting busier now, and nearly every sunbed is taken before 8 am, with some people clearly holding on to their preferred spot. Never mind, the beach is close, and there are sunbeds and umbrellas there too.

We picked Jandia after looking into the best beaches in the Canaries, and the hotel appealed to us for its smaller, almost boutique feel. We weren’t disappointed. It’s in a stunning location, and our well-appointed room had a balcony facing the sea. Half board was excellent. Buffets at other hotels have felt a little dull, but here there was a huge spread of delicious food, with chefs cooking fresh for you. The weather was outstanding, and we’d love to visit again. I highly recommend the hotel.

We spent a week here in mid-December and would love to return to lovely El Palacete. The Gourmet meals were excellent, and the staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel is intimate, so there’s no hustle and bustle, and it feels both cosy and friendly as well as elegant. It’s right beside a spectacular, clean sandy beach. The ocean view amazed us at every time of day and night. Our room and bathroom were tastefully furnished and clean, and the hotel is well adapted for disabled people.
