Albergue A Casiña di Marcello - Hostel

Marcelo helped me adjust my backpack, which I really appreciated. He's a wonderful person, and the albergue feels warm and cozy. I'm looking forward to the shared Italian dinner, it sounds promising.

It's a warm, cozy place, and Marcelo is friendly and hospitable. He really puts effort into making it feel like home. Having an Italian dinner here is a unique touch.

The owner has walked the Camino several times and is great to talk to for advice or help. Dinner is served family-style, Italian food, which gives you a chance to meet the other pilgrims in the small hostel. It's right on the path out of town, so you can be among the first to leave in the morning.

The dinner was delicious and fairly priced, and it was a nice surprise when Marcello joined us at the table. His humor and the fact that he speaks several languages made for a fun evening. We had a comfortable stay in the upstairs communal room. It was warm and roomy, with a homely feel that was just right for resting after a long day. Marcello welcomed us warmly and gave us a personalized wax stamp, a thoughtful gesture. He was engaging, asked about our journey, and offered help. He adjusted another pilgrim's backpack for comfort and weighed ours to check we weren't carrying too much. The comfortable place and attentive host made the stay memorable. We'd highly recommend this albergue.
