Bonanova 20

The motorway beside the garden was very loud, even in February, despite what some comments said. And from around 4:30 in the morning, about ten chickens and roosters began their routine outside the bedroom window, where the neighbor feeds them. The flat also looked bright in the photos, but inside it was extremely dark because there were so few windows. The bedroom is almost in a half-basement. There are much better places to stay in Palma, and this one wasn’t worth the money. Bonanova 20 needs renovation. It was very worn and dirty, and the hygiene problems were obvious throughout, especially traveling with a small baby. There was mouldy grout in the bedroom, dirty walls and switches, odd splatters on the bathroom and toilet walls, a smelly, dirty fridge, and dirty dishes and cooking utensils. The bedroom and living room smelled damp and musty, the bathroom drains stank, and the sofa and bed were stained enough that sitting or sleeping on them wasn’t pleasant. Dirt seemed to have built up in every corner for years. After we pointed things out several times, the host didn’t come by to see the place or arrange a proper clean. It felt like she cared more about profit than the flat. Such a shame that our time in Palma turned into a nightmare.
