Concepció by Nobis, Palma, a Member by Design Hotels

My partner invited me to dinner at the hotel restaurant about a week ago. He often eats lunch there on business trips and is a regular, so we expected a cozy evening. Instead, we sat at a high table facing the "kitchen," and it was a disaster. The cannelloni was sloppy and badly presented, while the gyozas and octopus taco tasted like nothing. Portions were small for the price. The worst part was the shouting from the kitchen. I don't understand Spanish, so I can't say whether they were arguing, but the staff and waiters' attitude made it seem unpleasant. We were so close that we could hear everything and see the chaos, yet the waiters acted innocent, as if we hadn't noticed. It came across as a very fake, unrefined place. Service should be discreet, not leave guests listening to cooks shouting. Control your staff!

We loved the breakfast, with its wide variety, and the staff were the best part of our stay. They were friendly, helpful, accommodating, and flexible, and you can tell they enjoy their work. The rooms are beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. The pool area is peaceful and uncrowded, perfect for relaxing after a walk through busy Palma. The hotel is right in the center but on a quiet street, so the location is amazing.

We got there a little early, and the staff took our bags and kept us updated on when the room would be ready. Housekeeping was fantastic too, and the attention to guests was incredible. The hotel has everything for a comfortable stay, from a great breakfast spread, sauna, pool, and gym to a speaker in the room that connects by Bluetooth so you can jam out. It's also central to everything in the city center. We loved our stay and will definitely visit again!! 💙

The breakfast was a real plus, lots to choose from and everything was good quality. The staff were warm and welcoming, especially the gentleman serving breakfast, and we appreciated getting both an early check-in and a late check-out. The hotel itself is beautiful and has a boutique feel. Still, at €480 a night, I'm not sure our stay was worth the price. Our superior room felt cramped, with room for just one chair and nowhere to sit and do makeup. The bathroom was small too. There was a little outdoor area shared with the next room, with its door right beside the bed. We didn't use it and neither did our neighbors, but if they'd sat there, privacy could have been awkward, particularly late at night.
