Hotel Cappuccino - Palma

I only visited the hotel’s cafe cappuccino, but it’s stunning. It faces city hall and the most beautiful olive tree I’ve ever seen, in a perfect old-town spot. A lovely place to take a little break while sightseeing.

We got room 15 for the second time, and were disappointed again. The room’s climate was poor, and opening the windows wasn’t an option because of the road noise. Every night there was a lot to hear, from garbage and drunk people to the cappucino crew dragging heavy furniture around the lobby and atrium at 6am. At €350 a night, it wasn’t worth even half that.

It’s a stylish little world of its own, with comfort and stories around every corner. Velvet chairs, vintage art and sunlight over Plaza de Cort give the Old Town hotel a cinematic feel. The breakfast looks like an art exhibition, the staff greet you by name, and the in-house cinema is a nice surprise after a day out exploring. The rooftop pool is small but magical, just right for a morning dip above the rooftops.

I liked the cocktail menu a lot. It’s carefully put together without being overwhelming, and the combinations taste like what they’re meant to. No sugary chaos. The prices felt more than fair for the quality, and the drinks tasted smooth, clean and premium. The spirits weren’t listed on the menu, so I couldn’t tell what they used. Maybe they don’t feel the need to show off their quality. I ordered the Japanese Caipirinha, a fun take on the classic. I think it had a Japanese fruit in it, perhaps Yuzu, though I can’t be sure. It was a lovely touch. I have a sweet tooth and would have liked a little more sugar, but the overall flavor and balance were spot-on. I’d gladly come back to try the rest of the menu. Lovely atmosphere and great vibes.
