Hotel Palau Sa Font

It’s right in the centre of the old town, but I was glad we only stayed one night. The room was very bare and the bed uncomfortable. Service and breakfast were average, and the lounge was quite small. Very expensive for what you get. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The staff are what make Palau Sa Font feel five-star. Everyone we met was kind, helpful, and engaging, and it made a real difference. Well done. The hotel has a stylish, minimalist feel after its recent refurbishment. Our room was practical and comfortable, with a great bathroom, air conditioning, and windows that open. There’s a small but very sunny splash pool, plus a rooftop tower with lovely views and a perfect look at Palma Cathedral. Breakfast was excellent, and reception is staffed around the clock. It’s a very good location, less than a ten-minute gentle walk to the cathedral and a short stroll into the city centre. There are plenty of nearby restaurants, and reception is happy to suggest places and help make bookings.

The pool terrace catches the sun and has both sunny spots and shady corners to relax in. Breakfast is plentiful, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are basic but comfortable, with a great shower. The old town location is excellent, with everything within walking distance.

The staff were very friendly, and the hotel has air conditioning in the rooms and a lift. The room doors have art on them, and the rooms still use traditional keys, with windows that open fully. The hotel is in the city centre, reached by a very narrow street. Just be aware that you can still hear the street below through closed windows, and it can get loud with tourists.
