Hotel Isla Mallorca & Spa

A comfortable city break at good value, with a welcoming feel. I loved the clean, modern hotel, friendly staff, relaxing spa and pool, and the convenient but quiet location in Palma. Breakfast was great too. I especially recommend the coffee bar and bakery at the bottom of the hill, about three minutes away.

We paid 500 euro and got little more than a place to sleep and shower, like a hostal. The rooms were incredibly tiny, and after a shower the humidity made it impossible to stay in there. The service was awful. Employees seemed unhappy to help, like they were there by force, and they acted strangely even when we just asked for a newspaper. They seem to want to charge you for everything and don't really care about guests. There was no pool or anything else, and you couldn't even use the lobby to eat your own food. I've stayed in several hotels in Mallorca, and this was the worst. It's so expensive just for sleeping. Don't waste your money here.

The buffet was the one part I didn't like much, it felt kind of expensive for how it tasted. Otherwise the service was good, and the staff were really nice and polite. They offered to help us find places to visit. The rooms were clean and spacious, with a nice view, and there are two pools with plenty of space to have a drink by the water.

The facilities were good overall, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. I booked mainly for the swimming pool, even though the hotel is a bit far from the main tourist areas. I found out the pool is outdoors only and the water is quite cold, probably usable only in summer. There's a separate spa too, but it costs extra. Getting around wasn't very convenient. We walked a lot and took buses to reach places.
