Sb Arenal

We booked this at the last minute during peak season, and it was by far the cheapest option we found. Basic, but it had what we needed. The room always smelled a bit odd. Staff were friendly, and there were towels and umbrellas available to take for the day. The location was amazing, beside a Spar and one street from the beach, with a bus stop around the corner.

This is easily among the top 5 Airbnb stays I've had. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms were well lit and quite clean. The staff were very kind and helpful, even bringing extra blankets at night when my wife fell sick. After checkout, they let us leave our bags in the locker room at no charge, which felt very hospitable. The property is 100m from the beach, and the discos and Mega park are very close too. Hope to come back soon.

The staff were incredibly kind. Since we had an early check-out and a late-night flight, they let us leave our bags at reception, use the reception toilets throughout the day, and take beach towels after checkout without hesitation. The room was extremely clean and was regularly cleaned with our permission. It’s a very recommended place to stay, just a 4-minute walk from the beach and 2 minutes from beach resorts, clubs, bars, and restaurants. Mcdonalds and Burgerking are each 4 & 5 mins away.

For what I paid, this was very poor value. I wouldn't normally pay more than 50EUR for a room like this. It was unpleasant and not clean, with no AC, a broken fan, and noise from outside. It didn't feel safe to sleep with the balcony open because someone could easily get in. The Google pictures don't represent the hostal standard. I wouldn't recommend staying here and won't do it again at this price. I found much better quality for the money elsewhere on the Island during my next stays over the following 2 weeks.
