The rooms are nice, but we had a rough end to our trip to Majorca because of the noise. There's a nightclub on the roof and another next door, both playing loud music until 2 am. Earplugs took the edge off the sound of people, but the bass still made the room vibrate. If you're in bed before 2, I wouldn't stay here.

Cuba Hotel is in a great location, and the staff throughout were helpful. Alexandra was especially friendly and attentive. We found the rooms simple, comfortable, and very clean. Breakfast on the rooftop was excellent, with lots of choice, and it's also a nice place for drinks and food. The rooftop gets very popular at night. The only downside for us was the noise, which comes from the lively streets and music in Spanish cities and isn't something the hotel controls. That's just how it is!

We had a wonderful time on the rooftop terrace and will be back. The views over Mallorca’s Cathedral and the harbor were stunning, and the atmosphere and music were just right. We especially loved the girl DJ’s vibe and her gorgeous lion’s mane of hair. She clearly enjoyed what she was doing. Everyone on staff was super friendly and took great care of us. They even suggested some places to visit on the island. It's a perfect spot for a cocktail and good music, and we'll tell our friends about it.

The rooms are on the small side, and our bathroom was tiny, really just workable for one person at a time. The rooftop is a nightlife hotspot, packed in the evenings, with noise from the terrace and street below carrying on late. If you sleep lightly or like quiet nights, this may not suit you. I now prefer a relaxed sunset drink to a rooftop party, so I'd probably pick somewhere calmer next time. Still, there's plenty to like at Hostal Cuba in Santa Catalina. It's clean and well maintained, the beds were exceptionally comfortable, and I had some of the best hotel sleep I've ever had. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was lovely, with a beautiful view. The hotel is stylish and well located, though on the pricey side, as is pretty much everything in Mallorca.
