Loben Apartamentos

The house itself is beautiful, and the shared areas and outdoor spaces have been renovated tastefully, while keeping the building’s history. There’s even a pleasant scent diffuser. But at €165 a night, the room doesn’t feel worth the price, and the service wasn’t flawless. It was okay, not perfect. The bathroom is nice, the bed is small but good quality, and the kitchen is cute, though there isn’t enough there to cook a proper meal. The fridge sits right beside the bed, which is awkward, and it makes an incredibly loud noise. We had to unplug it every night. The ventilation was noisy too, so we switched that off at night. The air conditioning made a loud sound every time it turned on or off, so we couldn’t use it at all. Nights got hot, sometimes very hot, but at least they were quiet. Entry is by keypad, but it doesn’t always work. We waited at the gate for a while until someone finally answered the phone. Not the friendliest welcome, though it worked out in the end. The place has charm, but the stay didn’t quite justify the price.

The manager was attentive and very friendly whenever we needed help, and the code entry made it easy to come and go. We’d stay here again when we return to northern Spain. It’s an ideal base for visiting places like La Hermida, canyoning on the Cares River, or trying via ferratas. The new apartment was spotless and had thoughtful extras like a hairdryer with diffuser, sugar, coffee capsules, and a Smart TV with apps such as Netflix and an extendable arm. The website photos were accurate. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was beautiful and practical. We’ve stayed in four star hotels with leaking showers or loose toilet seats, so it was good to find quality that matched the price. Highly recommended, 10/10!

We stayed in the "Bathtub" apartment, which was cozy and charming, and we’d definitely return. It’s in a quiet village, with the river right in front where you can swim, a real luxury. The location makes it easy to get to different points of interest. The apartments are new, spacious, and very well equipped, with thoughtful touches like a Smart TV and high quality Wi-Fi. The bed was large and incredibly comfortable, and we slept really well.

The location is fantastic, close to San Vicente de la Barquera and Llanes. Right by the river, it’s a magical spot with peaceful surroundings that make it easy to unwind. The apartments are beautiful and spotless, decorated with care and with every detail thought through. The owners are delightful, and the service was excellent from the start of our stay to the end. Staying at Loben Apartments for a few days was the best decision I made. Highly recommended! ❤️
