The meals were the best we’ve had on the Camino Frances. The host makes fresh, homemade dinners and clearly enjoys welcoming pilgrims, which made having home cooking such a delight. The accommodation was super comfortable, and the host was very friendly and helpful. So glad we booked here.

The rooms were very clean and well appointed. After a day walking the Camino, chicken with Gallacian soup was just perfect. The food was exquisite, with the spices used properly. Our hostess was gracious and generous with her talents and her good nature. I highly recommend it!

I had a spacious room with a lovely countryside view, and the quiet setting made it easy to rest. Casa de Lucas in Fonfría was a delightful stop on my Camino de Santiago pilgrimage. It’s a very cozy rural hotel. The restaurant menu is limited, but the choices were excellent, and the hearty breakfast was just right before a day of walking. With so few places to stay in the village, this was a superb option for a comfortable stay and good food without having to go elsewhere.

This family-run place seems to be a renovated old barn, and I stayed one night while walking the Camino Francés. My lower-level room was very nice and clearly recently redone. It was cozy with the heating on, blackout blinds, and extra pillows and bedding. The shower had hot water and soap was provided. The owners were very sweet and accommodating.
