We found this little gem in a typically Spanish town, away from the crowds, and the value for money was superb. It’s a new hotel in Pego, run by a small, attentive team. The French-owned Art deco property has been beautifully refurbished. Sandrine, Vanessa, and Alba worked hard to meet all our needs. There was another very friendly, smiley, happy staff member whose name we’ve forgotten. So sorry! We chose to eat breakfast here every day. It’s continental, but a little feast each morning, with fresh pastries, bread, hams and cheeses, honey, jams, fresh fruit, juices, yoghurt, a coffee machine, and herbal teas. At €9.50 per person, it was good value. We’d definitely return. Thank you to everyone at Marsellesa for a lovely week. X

That peaceful courtyard was a lovely spot for coffee in the morning or wine in the evening, and Sandrine and her team made us feel genuinely cared for. The hotel is right by Pego’s historic center, with markets, heritage sites, and hiking trails nearby. Our room was spotless and roomy, with local touches, a very comfortable bed, and a balcony facing the old streets and mountains. Hotel La Marsellesa is a beautifully restored building with Valencian character and modern comforts. We left refreshed and would love to return. Highly recommended.

We only stopped for a night while passing through, but the place was a lovely surprise. The rooms combine modern practicality with an old-fashioned feel, and the service was great.

Breakfast was on the lighter side, but it was simple and enough. The rooms felt fresh after their renovation, and everything was spacious, clean, and in great condition. I’d definitely recommend this hotel.

We didn’t expect to find such a welcoming hideaway in little Pego. The interiors, rooms, and staff all made us feel at home, and the beach is only 15 minutes away. It was also a great price. I hope this place stays a secret and doesn’t get too popular.
