The room was clean and the staff were friendly. It’s a really peaceful spot, well away from road noise. I’d recommend it.

We only stayed one night, and the place turned out much better than we expected. It was quiet, clean, smelled fresh, and had clean sheets and towels, plus mountain views. For €44 for a double room with a bathroom and €10 for our dog, it felt excellent value. It’s a quaint village, and you can walk dogs off leash in the woods. The service was great too. One of the few dog friendly places we found on our trip.

Just north of Teruel, this is an honest family run hostel. It’s clean, the people are friendly, and it’s in a quiet spot.

The town is peaceful, and the rooms are spacious and very clean. They also have parking for motorcycles, which matters to us. I got there just in time for dinner and was offered shredded pork. It was absolutely delicious. The service was fantastic, with friendly people who really looked after the customer. A welcoming, homey place. I’d happily come back for the Route of Silence. THANK YOU

The service was good, both from the owner on WhatsApp and from the woman at the hostel. That’s why I’m giving two stars instead of one. The room and shared areas were badly let down by the cleaning. The floor looked like it hadn’t been mopped in months, and I didn’t even want to look under the bed. The bathroom itself wasn’t too bad and the shower was fine, but the rest was awful. Seeing the toilet brush gave me an idea of what was underneath, and they clearly don’t know what a deep clean is. The spring mattresses were terrible for my back and seem to have reached the end of their life. On the first floor you can hear everything, dogs running around, doors slamming, showers going. It felt like everyone was in our room. After dinner, they dragged chairs around, presumably to clean, and it sounded like they were right beside the bed. I paid €94 for a triple room. I know demand was high over the long weekend, but at that price breakfast could have been included. It wouldn’t have gone amiss given the quality of the room. I usually find it hard to write bad reviews, but I couldn’t let this one go. These days, places need to offer a higher standard, especially with something as basic as cleanliness, whether it’s a hostel or a four star hotel.
