We told the owner about the problems, and he made excuses but admitted the apartment needed renovating. The kitchen has a gas stove and a faucet without a single lever. The bathroom is so cramped you have to enter sideways, its faucet is the same old style, and the water smells and tastes of iron. Thin window glass let in road noise from less than 100 meters away, while the apartment has vinyl floors and carpet in the bedroom. The mismatched glasses looked like props from the TV series "Cuéntame." The building still displays a sign saying "2-KEY APARTMENTS." Maybe that rating fit in the 1960s, but not in the 21st century. Disappointing apartment.

Luis was very friendly and helpful on the phone before we arrived and again when we got there. I can’t remember our apartment number. The living room was fine, and the bedroom was a good size, with a large four-door wardrobe at the back. Open one door and the others open too. The place badly needs a modern renovation. The bathroom is tiny and still has fixtures from the early 1970s: old tiles, little outdated sink taps, and the toilet is no more than 50 cm from your face when you sit down. Its soft plastic seat is so worn it falls onto your back, and the old bidet is tucked behind the door in a corner. The kitchen and living room share one space. The kitchen is pieced together from separate sections from the early 1970s, with a gas stove, old sink and a squeaky faucet that’s hard to turn off with wet hands, plus an old-fashioned fridge. Everything did work, but even at the somewhat cheaper price, that doesn’t make up for how badly it all needs updating.

A nice spot near the sea and Santa Cristina, and the price is affordable. The apartments have all the equipment, though they feel dated. The bathrooms in particular need updating.

The hostess gave us unbeatable attention. My wife has had surgery and has the limitations that come with it, so she made sure we got the apartment that suited her best. The place was impeccably clean and centrally located. Definitely recommended.
