The ensaimadas are so light and delicious, with or without apricots. These fresh local Mallorcan breads are made daily, and I won't buy one at the airport again. Order the day before and you can pick it up from 7am.

We almost missed this little bakery tucked up a side street, and it only opens in the mornings. The pastries were the best we've had around here, and the prices are very reasonable.

The vegetable empanadas were the best we tried on the island, with fresh, tasty filling and thin, crunchy pastry. The pan au chocolate was perfect, the best I've ever had. The ensaimada was just okay, since we've had a better one elsewhere, but this place is definitely worth a stop.

Everything we tried, sweet and savory, was delicious and stayed fresh into the second and third days. The owner is really friendly, and the homemade baked goods are made by hand in the bakery attached to the shop, not mass-produced. Definitely worth the trip.
