Hotel Mercè

The pool was spotless and a lovely place to unwind, and the kitchen's food was truly delicious. My friends and I had a wonderful time at Merce Hotel, where the atmosphere was fantastic and everything surpassed our expectations. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and everyone from reception to the restaurant staff made us feel welcome. We'd love to return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great stay. 🌟

We had five days here with a friend and couldn't have asked for a better break after six years without a holiday. Everything was clean, breakfast had everything you could want, and the pool terrace views were incredible. The beach was gorgeous, and there are big markets on certain days. The hotel and staff were fantastic, and we were sad to leave. Thanks to everyone at hotel merce, can't rate it highly enough. xx

One woman at the front desk was lovely: friendly, very helpful, around 23-30 years old, and new to the job but doing it really well. A shout-out to her. I hope she finds a workplace that appreciates her kindness. The trip started badly with the taxi. We were promised a fare of 125,-, but it came to 140,-, which was very expensive. The hotel also works with a taxi service that quoted 100-125,- for the airport, but again the fare was 140,-. They shouldn't promise prices like that when getting there already costs so much. The front office man was friendly, but barely spoke English, which seems a problem at a hotel with so many tourists. We had to use Google Translate. Our first room was tiny, the bed was hard and uncomfortable, and we both slept terribly. My boyfriend asked about another room, and we were told to try in the morning. We were so disappointed that we even talked about going home if we couldn't move. The next morning we got a room that was slightly bigger, with a softer bed and a normal shower. But we could still hear everything, inside and outside the hotel, including people running down the hallway around 03.00 am or later. When they were cooking, the whole room smelled bad. We also missed having a small fridge and kettle. The pool water was unbelievably cold, even when the weather was 25-27 degrees. We ordered lunch at the pool bar: three toasted ham and cheese sandwiches, which I showed with my fingers, plus patatas bravas and drinks. When my boyfriend picked it up, there were only two sandwiches. The receipt said two, although we were sure we'd asked for three, so we paid for the two. The man was so rude to my boyfriend that it made the whole thing worse. They should hire people who speak fluent English. One morning, breakfast was chaotic. We arrived on time but had to wait in a line for about 20 minutes. They were handling new check-ins, and they kept starting to seat people only when others finished so they could clean the tables.

The rooftop pool made a great impression, and the room's air conditioning worked perfectly, so we rested comfortably. The food was excellent, with a different menu every day. Our room was cleaned daily, and the hotel staff were very kind and helpful throughout the stay. We did miss having a fridge in the room.
