The pool was quite large, very clean, and looked after each morning by the staff. We liked it. The room was big and clean, with a balcony overlooking the pool, and the place was quiet. There are no children allowed, which some reviews call lacking atmosphere, but I think that’s a bit unfair. The hotel is near Los Christianos, the beach, and plenty of shopping centres. We booked through Ving (Sweden). We mostly made our own dinners because the room had hot plates, a kettle, coffee maker, cutlery, toaster, and fridge. Breakfast was hit and miss, with limited choice. The orange juice tasted like sugary water coloured orange, the sausage slices oozed grease, and the bacon was impossible to cut. On the plus side, baked beans were fine, I liked the fried eggs, the scrambled eggs were okay, and there was a nice selection of bread. Coffee from the machine was okay, and there was yogurt and cereal, though not much choice. Thanks for the figs, though. I like figs. I’d give it four out of five and would recommend staying here. The breakfast was only okay, and the ceiling fan wobbled badly on full blast, as if it might fly off if left alone. Also, thinking about it, this may be the only hotel room I’ve had in the Canary Islands where I didn’t see a cockroach.

There were plenty of sunbeds around the pool, and we never had trouble finding one. We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment for two weeks, from 15 June to 29 June. The location worked really well, with bars and restaurants literally next door and across the road. The room was cleaned five days a week unless you asked them not to. I slept like a baby, with no noise from the nearby bars. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is adults only, which is a nice touch, though I’ve stayed places where some adults behaved worse than children by the pool. My only gripe is the ceiling fans instead of proper air conditioning. They’re free, which is good, but even running 24/7 they don’t cool you down in the height of summer. Would I come back? In a heartbeat.

No bugs, a mix of age groups, and lovely clean apartments. We’ve just come back from a week and already can’t wait to return. We’re a couple in our 50s and thought the apartments were fabulous. I’d read claims that it was an 18-30 place with bugs, but that wasn’t our experience at all. Our towels were changed almost every day and the sheets were changed too. We were on the fourth floor and didn’t need a fan because there was a lovely breeze. No screaming children either. We’ll definitely be back!

The adult-only setting suited us, the beds were comfortable, and it was clean throughout. We had some noise from the bar next door, though. There’s no air conditioning in the room, but you can hire it from an outside contractor. Checkout was at 12, and our pickup wasn’t until 5 p.m., which was a drag. The location is great, close to lots of restaurants and bars. I’d recommend it.
