Hotel HM Ayron Park – Adults Only

Nadine at reception deserves a special thank you. She answered all our questions and sorted out every request. The staff were friendly and helped us in English, Spanish, and German. Our room was comfortable and clean, with a balcony, bathrobes, slippers, and a great minibar. The shower had steady hot water and strong pressure. The hotel is stylish and feels new. Breakfast was especially good for February in the off-season, with a wide selection and even a morning glass of champagne. We didn't try dinner, so can't comment on it. There are two saunas and a small pool, which we liked. The saunas weren't very hot, though I'm no expert, so perhaps that's normal in Spain.

The bus stops for Palma and the airport are close, so one person or a couple can skip the taxi. It costs €4.5 each way per person to the airport and €2 to Palma. We stayed in the off season and had a great time, and would come back. José and Marc at reception were especially friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and all the staff were lovely. There was plenty of food to choose from. If you're a meat eater, you can keep ordering beef steaks until you're full. The spa and gym were nice too, and we really enjoyed the sauna and pool, though it can get crowded when the weather is bad. More things to do indoors, like a pool table or ping-pong table, would've been welcome.

The pool was quite cold because the water wasn't heated, and the shower curtain didn't do much to contain splashes, leaving the bathroom flooded. Those were the drawbacks, but we still left with great memories of our first trip to Mallorca. The hotel had a lovely atmosphere and well-kept grounds. We especially appreciated the thoughtful birthday attention, which made this first island visit feel more memorable. The breakfast buffet was fresh, tasty, and had lots of options.

As a young couple, we often felt stared at or ignored by other guests, and sometimes heard rude comments. The crowd here didn't seem very welcoming to younger people. That was my main concern, though it wasn't really the hotel's fault. The hotel itself is beautiful, with lovely modern furnishings, clean pool areas, and attractive amenities. Food was good, but at a five-star place I'd expected more seafood or specialist dishes. Our room was nice, though the walls were so thin that people knocked on them whenever we spoke or one of the beds moved. Most staff were nice, apart from a couple, but that wasn't a problem.
