The views over the mountains and valley from the apartment were unbeatable. I could sit by the window for hours. Even though it’s next to the highway, the place is very quiet. I stayed upstairs with my dog and had the whole apartment to ourselves. It was sublime. The hostess was lovely and attentive. For two days, she offered a light breakfast of toast, muffins, tea, and instant coffee for 4.00 per breakfast, and there was a mini fridge stocked with drinks at 1.50 each. She even let me leave my tent in the foyer while I finished my hike, saving me 5lbs of gear for the rest of the trek. Truly a wonderful woman. Parajes has no services, so bring your own food and any special drinks. You can also reserve meals a day ahead from the nearby bar. I had a wonderful two-night stay at Casa Rural Posada Real de Pajares and would recommend it to anyone doing the Camino Del Salvador.
