Back for a second stay at Casa Pipa. The facilities and location are very good, and Pillar was caring and kind. We’ll definitely come again.

The village and mountain views are lovely, and the owner was very kind. The house has two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, and living room, and it’s functional and attractive, with all the dishes and cutlery you need. I’d recommend it, though a few home comforts would make it feel more welcoming: better quality towels, extra living room chairs, and a fireplace alongside the heating. Still, it’s a cozy house in a beautiful setting.

Pilar was really friendly, and the location worked perfectly for exploring different areas. We spent a week there with our two dogs in the one bedroom apartment. There was plenty of room and everything we needed, plus a lovely little upstairs garden with great views.

We found the rustic stone house attractive, but the stay was disappointing. It was very damp and clearly hadn’t been aired in a long time. It also felt cold when we arrived, and even airing the place would have been a nice touch, though there was no sign of that. The house is in the shadiest part of town, the car access is very difficult, and the areas are poorly marked. For €75 a night in June, we got worn towels, a hard pillow, a poor mattress that made it hard to sleep, and a broken shutter that let in a lot of light. It felt far too expensive for what was there. There was no breakfast, no other amenities of the kind many places leave, and no friendly service. At 11 a.m. we were told to have everything out by noon, even though nobody else was staying there that weekend, so we had to rush back to the apartment. We won’t return or recommend it. There are many better places in Pola and nearby.

Pilar welcomed us and our three furry friends so warmly, thank you! The service was friendly, everything was clean, and the views over Pola de Somiedo were unbeatable. Mountain trails are very close, and dog-friendly Bayas beach is only 70 km away.
