Hostal Los Pinos

I came for a couple of nights while cycling around north Mallorca, and the place suited that trip really well. It’s tucked on the slope of Cala St Vicente, looking out over the bay. The hotel isn’t all shiny and new, which gives it character. Simple, quiet, and just the sort of atmosphere that puts you in vacation mode. Great value, and I’d recommend it.

The best part was how peaceful it was. Even the construction down in town didn’t really bother us, and the pool was maintained each morning. It’s clean, with parasols and deck chairs for a relaxing spell if the beach is too windy. That beach is within walking distance and, though well visited, it never felt too crowded or overrun with tourists. There’s free parking right by the entrance too. Our room was lovely, very clean, and had a view of the Mediterranean. Ramon was friendly and always willing to help. Breakfast was simple but quite sufficient for the price, with rolls, salami, cheese, butter, cooked eggs, coffee, orange juice, and tomatoes. It’s easy enough to find, but I’d recommend arriving by car for more flexibility in the area, even though public transport is available. We couldn’t have chosen a better place. We’ll stay here again when we return to Mallorca.

Ramon was so hospitable, and the breakfast was terrific. The place was clean and extremely affordable, though be ready for about 80 steps up, good for your fitness! Our 14-day quarantine back home will have been worth it for this lovely stay. Regular guests would probably happily pay a bit extra if air conditioning were installed.

The family made us feel at home from the minute we arrived, and the hotel was spotless. It’s a wonderful place to relax, swim, sunbathe, snorkel, walk, cycle, or head out to discover beaches. Staying here brought back childhood memories of when Majorca felt like a true paradise. They’ve held onto that Mediterranean way of life, slow and easygoing, and it’s lovely. Definitely one of my best stays in Majorca.
