Hotel Cabot Romantic - Adults Only

The room was the weak point. There was no sound insulation, and the shower cubicle was too narrow to use comfortably. It was easy to bump the tap and switch the water to too hot, too cold, or off, though the water pressure was superb. The location is fabulous, right on the seafront in Puerto de Pollensa Bay. Staff were excellent, happy to help, and looked after us well. Breakfast buffet was extensive and plentiful. We had dinner in the restaurant twice, and the food quality was very high.

The staff were lovely and sorted out an early breakfast for our 3am checkout. We had a big, very clean room with a sea view, and breakfast was great. The beach and Tamerells beach bar are just across the road. We liked this hotel much more than the one we stayed in for the other few nights.

Rooms and especially bathrooms are really small, though you can fit a bike on the balcony. The walls are so thin you hear the next room's phone calls and toilets flushing all night. It's a clean, no-frills place with very friendly staff, right by the restaurants and the heart of the port. Good for cyclists and runners. Breakfast could be better.

I was enjoying the stay at first. We arrived on Saturday to a clean room, and breakfast was okay. By Thursday my skin was itchy and I had a few small bites. When we left the following Saturday, both legs, my arms and my back had lots of swollen blisters and weeping spots. Since getting back to Scotland, I believe they were bed bug bites. I'm not happy. I've never had this happen in more than 30 years of travel and holidays.
