When the sun gets too strong, the veranda is a nice spot to read, and the big pool is ideal for doing very little. The villa sits somewhere peaceful, but it also makes a good base for walkers exploring the nearby hills and trails. We spotted all sorts of wildlife, from praying mantises to black and griffon vultures and other birds of prey.

The only thing that bothered us was how much the doors and floors creaked. Otherwise, we had everything we needed, including two barbecues and a traditional stone oven. It’s a lovely spot surrounded by quiet nature, with a beautiful pool.

A lovely holiday home, and the pool is big.
