I noticed while uploading the photos that I hadn’t taken any of the ground floor. The house is cozy and has everything you need, and Santi, the owner, is friendly and very attentive. The village is pretty, up high, and has great views. There’s a tavern just 20 meters away for a drink or a meal. Nature lovers are close to Peñalba de Santiago and the Montes Aquilanos, with peaks over 2000 meters, waterfalls, and caves. The village and its surroundings are beautiful. For a spectacular trip, Las Médulas is another option, along with Ponferrada, Molinaseca, and other interesting towns. Casa Abril is a great place to stay for a few days as a couple. Highly recommended.
