The kitchen had a really complete set of cookware, and the house was very clean. We appreciated the bottle of Bierzo wine they left for us, and the town and nearby area are lovely to explore. Inside, though, we were cold: the underfloor heating wasn't working, which was rough in snowy February. The downstairs bathroom also smelled of sewage, and flushing kept bringing up that bad smell.

We had a lovely few days in this very well-kept house. Pepe and Rosa were welcoming, and the Christmas decorations were a nice touch. Everything was clean and fully equipped, from the towels to the beds, and the house was really warm. The village and the sound of the river make it a relaxing spot, while the location is handy for seeing beautiful places in El Bierzo.

All the information you sent was so useful, and the house had everything we needed for a great family break. That loaf of bread in the evening was such a treat, and the bottle of wine was a lovely gesture. Sorry, Pepe, we brought it along by mistake. I'm writing today because we've been following the news about the fire with great sadness. We hope the wonderful village where we stayed isn't in danger. Thanks for everything, and best wishes.

Pepe was such a kind, helpful host, and the house was beautiful, cozy, and stocked with everything. We had the dogs with us for a wonderful long weekend, and even used the barbecue without needing to bring anything besides our food. I think we'll come back. Fantastic stay, absolutely brilliant!! 🥰

The village is small, quiet, and nice to wander around. There are two inns, but you need to call ahead and tell them before arriving. The bakery is fantastic too, even if its opening hours are a little unusual. The bread is delicious. We were there with our one-year-old and a dog, and all of us were comfortable. The stairs are a bit dangerous for a little one, though they were fine. A crib is available if you ask. The house itself was spotless and had all the essentials, and it was one of the most enjoyable rural house stays we've had. The owner was delightful and filled us in on local sights, good routes, and things to do. A great base for a few days exploring beautiful Bierzo.
