Mariant Hotel

We visited in 07/2025. Through a travel agency, the week for two in a room outside the main building cost 1.100€, including transport. The room was old, but clean and everything worked. The air conditioning was very weak, though adequate if you kept the door closed. There wasn’t even a small fridge, which was unpleasant in the heat. The children’s playground across from the hotel was dirty and in poor condition. The staff were very friendly and nice, thank you. The overall price to quality ratio was good. The food, though, was far below average. The chefs couldn’t even cook eggs properly, and breakfast was the same every day. The fruit drinks from the vending machine were appalling, like a chemical mix with nothing to do with fruit, and not something you want as your first drink of the day. All the pastries served were industrially made semifinished products with palm oil and preservatives, see photo.

The location was superb, just a ten-minute walk to the beach, and the staff were friendly and helpful. My family and I had a very pleasant stay. Meals offered a great variety, and the pool worked for both adults and children. There weren’t enough drawers or wardrobes in the room for all our family’s things.

We had an amazing seven days at this hotel. The food was delicious, and the kitchen staff served it with lots of love and joy. Most of the reception staff were polite and warm, especially Chahida, who is lovely, extremely helpful, and excellent at her job. Can’t wait to come back.

The amenities would make you miss a Motel6. There were lots of children and older guests, and the resort town is one of the sleepiest on the island. It’s not ideal if you’re 18 or older.
