The location is good, and one of the staff contacted us on arrival day with the check-in instructions. But we couldn’t get breakfast the next morning. It was meant to open at 8am, and nobody showed up. We called the emergency number and got no answer. We thought the phone ringing at the front desk might be the emergency line, but there was nobody in the hotel. Look for other options.

Rooms are basic but nice, just as advertised, and the hotel has free Wi-Fi and a good breakfast at an affordable price. The location is hard to beat in Ponferada, right by the town Square and a minute’s walk from the castle and other photographic wonders. Check-in is only staffed until 1800. I nearly missed it, but after that you can let yourself in and retrieve the key. No complaint, it works.

A clean, comfortable, very affordable place to get a private room while walking the Camino. It’s right in the center of historic Ponferrada, next to the main square, but still really quiet. The castle and the Camino are only a few minutes away.

The rooms are good and the location is good, but the service was horrible. I booked online and arrived to find the hotel locked. I called the front desk and emergency line, emailed, and sent the website contact form. Nothing, no response at all. By luck, I went to another location hoping to book there and asked about this hotel. That person called the same number I’d been trying, and someone answered right away. The lack of response and uncertainty make me recommend avoiding a stay here.

For pilgrims on the Camino who want a private room and bathroom, this little hotel is a great fit. The rooms are compact but good value, and the bathroom was very clean. The bed was soft and wonderful. It’s right in the center of Ponferrada, tucked onto a quiet side street.
