There were four of us dining. My skate was lovely, grilled without salt and served with grilled vegetables and boiled potato, and the price felt fair for the quality. Things went badly when the Galician-style hake arrived. One piece had a dark, rounded belly cut that my friend didn't like, so she asked the waitress if it could be replaced with another slice or the tail. The chef then came over and scolded her, clearly furious that she hadn't mentioned it sooner. She explained that she couldn't know what would be served and, as someone from the coast, had only ever seen that cut in fish stew. The chef lost his temper completely. If you run into a problem like this, the service can ruin the meal, and you'll probably choose another restaurant. We're crossing this place off our list for now. RECOMMENDATION: Run away.

We came back after being away for a while. The owners have changed, but the warm welcome and service are still excellent. Right in the center of Porto do Son, it's a lovely place to stay, unwind, and enjoy a meal. Thanks, Alberto, for being so kind and welcoming. We'll be back.

The staff were really friendly, and the hotel was clean and full of charm. It's simple, but has all the amenities and works well as a base for relaxing and exploring the area. We had a great stay.

We visited on a Wednesday. The seafood was fresh and everything was cooked just right. Service was casual, correct, and quick. All fine.
