My first Camino with my father had me feeling really nervous, but the owner greeted us so warmly and took such care helping us check in that I was genuinely moved. My Spanish isn’t very good, and they patiently helped me all the way through. It made me think about what the Camino really means, and who I could show that same patience and kindness to. The service was truly exceptional.

A perfect spot for a pilgrim heading to Santiago de Compostela. The location is great, the hosts and staff are kind, and the bathrooms are excellent. There’s a fully equipped kitchen, plus clean, spacious dorms and great facilities. It’s private and fairly priced.

The owners were so welcoming and attentive. On a hot day, they checked in before quiet time to let us know we could open the window if we wanted the room cooler, and they cleaned the bathroom between uses. The location is good and the view is beautiful. It may be the best albergue I’ve stayed in. The bunk mattress was the most comfortable I’ve had on the Camino, like my bed at home. There were full linens and even a towel, which felt like a real luxury. The bathrooms are private for one person at a time, and the water pressure is excellent.

The rooms weren’t cramped, the beds were comfortable, and the facilities were clean. I slept well.

The real linens and already made bed felt like a luxury after a month of finishing 20km walking days by putting disposable sheets on a bare mattress. There weren’t any disposable sheets here, and the rooms had low capacity. The kitchen was a cozy little room with a sofa, and the building’s layout naturally kept noise from carrying, so it was a nice break from the usual racket. I had a wonderful stay, including the small enclosed courtyard where you can hang clothes to dry even if it starts raining. I took off a star because the WiFi didn’t work in my room. I could only connect in the stairwell or kitchen, which doesn’t help when you want to video chat with family and friends at home. It’s easily one of the best albergues on the Camino Frances.
