The owners are fantastic, and the apartment was clean and really nice. After a long Camino day, it’s a great place to stay in Portomarin. They also have inexpensive, paid self-service laundry. I’d stay here again.

The owner was kind and clearly wanted guests to feel at home. The location is convenient too, under five minutes from the square and restaurants. I loved the peaceful outdoor area, and the bed was very comfortable. The whole apartment felt carefully set up for rest and enjoyment, with technology used for the property entrance, apartment access, and interior lights. During a month on the Camino de Santiago, this was easily the most beautiful and cozy place I stayed. The apartment is distinctive and beautifully decorated, and it’s suited to one person or a couple, with a comfortable sofa that can accommodate another person. It was exceptionally clean and extremely quiet. Staying here was delightful. For me, it’s not a 10, it’s a 100. I recommend it to anyone making the journey who wants somewhere special. If I return to Portomarin, I’ll stay at Portohouse again.

We’ve booked PortoHouse for a longer stay two years in a row while visiting family in Portomarin, and we’ve been very happy there. It’s close to the center but still peaceful. The bedrooms, living room, kitchen, bathroom, and WC are nicely furnished and clean. We could do laundry often and always had fresh towels and other things. The house, apartments, and everything around them are great. Joel and the rest of the PortoHouse team are welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help. We’ve really enjoyed staying here, and hope to see them again soon.
