Apartamentos La Solana

Apartment 9 worked very well for our group of six. It’s spacious, bright, comfortable, and has great views. The owner was very helpful and let us check in early, which we appreciated. The location is right in the heart of Potes, about five minutes from public parking. The heating worked well and warmed the place quickly, though extra blankets would still be useful. A few things could be improved: each bathroom could use a hairdryer, the pillows and mattress could be replaced, and the kitchen could have more basics like paper towels, oil, and salt. The hot water in the showers ran out quickly, perhaps the boiler settings need checking, though we didn’t get a chance to ask. The living room sofa and cushions could also use an update. Still, everything else was excellent, and I’d happily recommend it as a place to stay in Potes.

The apartment was very clean, well equipped, and spacious, with especially roomy bedrooms. The heating was already on when we arrived, which made it very pleasant, and the little balcony in the living room looked out at the mountains. The location was good, right in the center, with parking nearby. They answered our call quickly and gave us clear directions. Getting to the apartment meant going up a narrow alley, so we had to bring the car up to load and unload our luggage. The armchair wasn’t comfortable, and the hot water heater didn’t provide enough. We’d booked as a couple but weren’t told there would be two beds, so that was a surprise. Also, in winter with the bathroom heater on, take care using the urinal because it can get hot enough to burn you. A simple, functional apartment for enjoying the area, coming back to shower and sleep after a day out.

We’d happily come back to this roomy apartment in such a great location.
