Apartments La Peñita Lanzarote

We’ve just come back from a fabulous week. The apartment had plenty of space and was well equipped, and the snack bar is lovely after its refurbishment. The resort location is really central. We’ll definitely return. Sandra and Bill

The location made this an easy choice, just a few minutes on foot from the beach and the main strip with its bars, shops and restaurants. The apartment was spacious and very clean. During our week in mid-October 2025, cleaners came three times with fresh towels, toilet rolls and sheets. There’s no air conditioning, but a fan was provided and the bedroom also has a ceiling fan. The safe didn’t cost extra. The pool is a good size, and the on-site bar serves food and drinks. The staff there were lovely. I’d recommend staying here.

The cleaners were excellent, friendly and hardworking, but the rest of the stay was a real disappointment. I’ve stayed here many times and the standards have slipped. Our apartment was beside one being renovated, with drilling and hammering starting at 8 every morning. Nobody warned us about the work, and when we asked to move, we were told it couldn’t be arranged. The pool rules were frustrating. Towels weren’t meant to be placed on loungers before 10, but people who sat out earlier weren’t moved. If you left, your towel might be taken away, or the man cleaning the pool would shout at you. You could only leave a lounger for 45 minutes, which wasn’t enough time for a relaxed lunch. Even going to the pool bar for a drink left me watching the clock. Dust from the renovations covered the sunbeds and shared areas, and no extra cleaning was arranged. I wouldn’t recommend staying here now.

We had a fantastic week and the location was great. The pool was lovely, though the pool and sea views need updating. The bar has already been done up, and the one or two rooms we could see looked much nicer. Reception was nearly finished too. We had no problems and would love to come back once the work is done.
