Apartamentos Leo Punta Umbría

After ten days driving from the UK, we just wanted a place to sleep, so we paid the unexpected extra and moved on. We’d booked two nights online for €217 with our dog, but on arrival they charged €280, plus €14 for parking. The parking advice was frustrating. We had a roof box and the car park was underground, but before paying more we weren’t allowed to try the entrance. We were told to “visually look” to see if it would fit. How are you supposed to know the exact height of your car without checking it against the sloping garage entrance? At €147 a night, I expected water in the room. We also asked for a late checkout because our ferry back to the Canaries wasn’t until midnight. That would have left us and our dog in the baking heat for 13 hours, with nowhere to go. Even though it would cost another €40, we were told it wasn’t possible, with no explanation. The hotel didn’t look full, and rooms were still available to book from our checkout date. I’d never recommend this place. It felt like a complete rip-off, and the staff showed no interest in helping us or providing even decent service.
