During breakfast, staff kept asking us for our room number, over and over, while other guests weren't questioned. We felt singled out and unwelcome, and it's hard not to wonder whether bias, including race, played a part. I have anxiety, and having to chase basic supplies, especially late at night, made it much worse. We paid close to €200 for one night and called ahead to make sure everything would be ready for our late arrival. But the room clearly wasn't prepared: there were no towels, toiletries, or other basic amenities. We asked at reception, and they said the items would be brought up shortly. Nothing came that night, so I had to go down again the next day and ask for the same necessities. Jose Manuel was dismissive and unhelpful when we raised the problem. This was an uncomfortable, very disappointing stay, far below what I'd expect from a hotel calling itself four-star. I wouldn't recommend it.

We arrived at the start of July, and the location was great, close to the beach with plenty of places to eat and a nice garden bar. Our room was clean and nice, affordable, and had a great view of the pool. The staff were friendly and helpful too. The one thing I didn't like was the two single beds pushed together for a couple. I ended up in the middle, though I think that's a fairly Spanish way of doing it.

The breakfast buffet was great, and the kitchen staff handled the busy peak times well, even when it got crowded. The ocean views from the rooms are amazing, and the staff were friendly. A very nice hotel, and I'll definitely come back.

I haven't actually stayed here, but the setting by the beach is lovely. It's a slow 10-15 minute walk to the center of Punta Umbria. At night, seen from the water, the roof glows a deep, strong blue. Very cool!

Punta Umbria is beautiful, and the hotel's well placed whether you want to explore or just lie on the beach. We don't speak Spanish, but the staff were really helpful, and breakfast had plenty of tasty choices.
