The best part was the lovely woman who checked us in and out. She was so nice and spoke wonderful English. The hotel is directly on the Camino, too. But we were very disappointed and glad to leave. Our room was small and dark, and the air conditioning wasn’t working properly, even though we were initially pleased it had one. We were so uncomfortable that we opened the windows for the cool evening air and hoped there wouldn’t be mosquitos. The shower was small, and the water pressure could have been stronger. Breakfast was included at a cafe down the street, but we skipped it after reading several negative reviews. We won’t be back.

My partner and I booked in April 2024 for a stay in Oct 2024 and received confirmation. When we arrived, we were told there were no rooms left. After we showed the receptionist our confirmation on booking.com, they said they’d only been working there for two months and weren’t sure what had happened. Then they said there was a more “moderate” room available than the one we’d expected and booked. We were worried about being charged twice. The receptionist asked us to cancel the original booking ourselves, and said they’d confirm the cancellation on their end. I asked why a room had suddenly become available, and why we needed to cancel on our end if they supposedly had no booking for us. They said that was the only way to get a refund. Since this was the only available accommodation at the time and we were tired from our Camino, we felt forced to cancel the original booking ourselves. That made it look as though we had initiated the cancellation, even though the property had failed to honor the original accommodation. The receptionist apologized and said this had never happened before. Still, it’s hard for me to believe they didn’t deliberately push us into rebooking another room and avoid taking responsibility. Be cautious booking here. I don’t find the property trustworthy. Also, the walls aren’t soundproof. I could clearly hear my neighbor fart.

The location is excellent, and the woman at check-in was a gem. The place is lovely, though it’s looking a little old. There’s washing in every room, which is a bonus, but I’d already done my washing the day before.

We stayed in the attic room. It was bright and clean, with a well-designed layout that made good use of the space, plus an ensuite bathroom. The receptionist was warm, helpful, and attentive. Lovely hotel, recommended.
