The bedroom and sheets had an unbearable stink, like someone who smoked had been staying there. The odor kept me awake all night, and even the clothes I wore to bed picked it up. My husband and I were in the spacious suite, but the smell made it impossible to enjoy. The bathtub was tiny, too. The views are gorgeous, and our first impression was quite pleasant. That changed when we met the owner, who seemed a bit awkward, as other reviews have mentioned. There were no other guests, but he still told us to park under our room number, and he has a long list of rules. We paid over €140 for one night, including breakfast and two beers in the evening. The breakfast was among the worst we’ve had. There wasn’t much choice, and there was no cheese or ham. All the bread toppings came in little plastic packets, including the tomato spread, which my husband found sour and inedible. The bread itself was good, but the only toppings were butter, olive oil, and jam. There were also supermarket baked goods in clear plastic packs, none of them fresh. The fruit had been out since the previous evening and looked wrinkled and old. For that price, we don’t think it was worth it. We wouldn’t recommend this place or come back.

Our room was spacious and lovely, with a view down to Ribadesella. There’s also a large sitting room and a separate games room with a pool table. The rural house is beautiful and very peaceful, looking out over amazing Ribadesella. The host gave us lots of ideas for places to visit.

A great place to unwind, with amazing views and a lovely owner who makes Asturcon feel special. It’s close enough to Ribadesella to go into town for dinner. Excellent stay.

I’ve loved Asturias since long before it was fashionable, and this stay reminded me what makes it special. Towns are close by, but far enough away that all you hear when you wake up is nature. A real pleasure. Thank you so much.
