Camping Derby Loredo

The location is great, right on the beach, and the man who checked me in was friendly. But the campsite was run down, dirty, noisy, and had cold showers in mid-October. I’d paid for three nights and left after one.

We stayed three nights while waiting for the ferry. The staff were helpful, the amenities were clean, and the location was great. I bet it’s lovely in summer.

We were there in mid-August 2025 and slept terribly for a whole week. The campsite is perfectly located, and the staff are friendly, but about 80% of it is owned by Spanish locals who were loud until midnight or even in the middle of the night. Two stars for the location and staff, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here in high season. It was a big disappointment.

The staff were friendly and responsive, and the location is the real draw. The bungalows need a lot of repairs and renovation, especially for the price. There are plenty of surfers and surf schools, but the beach is big enough for everyone. Loredo is a cute little town with several restaurants and services if you take a look around. Somo is a 25-minute walk away, and you can catch a ferry there to Santander.
